Belgian-Dutch consultation days August
We organise regular consultation hours for border commuters. Also in 2024, citizens from the Euregio area who work or have worked in the neighbouring country can come to Maastricht with their questions to various experts. Questions on the subject of social security in Belgium or in the Netherlands are answered by advisers from the Bureau for Belgian Affairs of the Social Insurance Bank (SVB). Help with tax issues is offered by the tax authorities in the Netherlands and Belgium by Team GWO.
For whom is this consultation hour intended?
Are you crossing the border to live, work, do business or study? If so, you will have a lot to deal with. Especially when it comes to social security and taxes. But maybe you also have practical questions like importing your car, or the differences in labour law. To get all these questions answered at once, take advantage of the free consultation hour organised by the Maastricht Border Information Point in cooperation with the Bureau for Belgian Affairs (BBZ) and Team GWO.
With all your questions such as about your pension, child benefit and medical care, you can contact Bureau voor Belgische Zaken (BBZ) during this consultation hour. BBZ is part of the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) and, apart from working for the SVB, also carries out tasks for the Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen (UWV) and for the CAK.
With all your questions about taxes such as your tax return, taxation of income and assets, avoiding double taxation, you can contact Team GWO during this consultation hour. Team GWO is a partnership between the Dutch, Belgian and German tax authorities. During the consultation hour, an employee of the Dutch and Belgian tax authorities will be happy to help you. If you have tax questions about the Netherlands-Germany, please also feel free to contact us. Even then we can offer you a suitable solution.
With all your questions about practical aspects such as car importation, differences in holiday composition, applying for a bsn number, obtaining a national number, you can contact a staff member of the GrensInfoPunt. The GrensInfoPunt works closely with the team from the Border Employment team. So if you have questions about working in the neighbouring country, we can also be of service.
Our consultation hours are by appointment only.
Together with Bureau for Belgian Affairs and the Tax Administration Netherlands and Belgium. You can schedule an appointment via the contact form on the website. or you can contact the Maastricht GrensInfoPunt by phone T. (0031) (0)43 350 50 20.
